Following Government advice, we have sadly made the decision to cancel our face-to-face classes, until allowed to meet again. We are using Zoom, an online meetings platform, to continue the classes. If you are interested in joining us in this way just follow the links on the home page describing the course. It is easy to use, but if you have any problems, contact Sandra at firstname.lastname@example.org and she will try her best to help.
These are all offered cost free – please enjoy.
However if you do wish to contribute financially, can we suggest making a donation to Land of Joy, our retreat centre in Northumberland. Run by volunteers, they still have hefty overheads and now have no income from retreats. We’d like them to still be there when this is all over! Or make a donation to FDCW, who have given us the Building Inner Strength programme. Thank you – but only if you wish.
If Zoom doesn’t work for you, then please make good use of our recorded teachings, here, as well as the many other wonderful Dharma resources online. As a starter, the FPMT have made a number of their online courses available for free. They can be accessed here. Likewise, our friends at FDCW are offering courses, and their free app, 16 Guidelines for Life, is very supportive for a short daily practice.
Equally, the FPMT UK has gathered together details of all the UK groups and centres in one place here. They are now all very accessible online, and there are some fabulous courses and teachers out there. This will be updated each Friday, so maybe make the page a favourite.
And Geshe Tashi is continuing with his twice-monthly podcast, ‘A Buddhist Life’. As he explains in the first one, he is basing his short (15 mins – ish) reflections on HH Dalai Lama’s recently published book, ‘Daily Inspirations’.
Try to stay positive. If you have any questions or comments, please get in touch with Lynne at email@example.com. And keep an eye on our website and Facebook pages for any updates.
Very best wishes
